I very much enjoyed meeting John. A fine tennis player with an august heritage. I felt honoured - and disappointed. Needed far more direction. Poor communication. Better for better players. A mismatch for me and a hugely costly one. I felt he was just throwing balls at me rather than explaining. He said I was overthinking but I yearned for direction. I am 60. Wanting to improve having not played since school really. i came away frustrated rather than uplifted but grateful.
