About Me
Tennis has been a part of my life since I was 2 years old. Through my younger years it was my main sport and I became south-east regional champion at 10&11 years old. Tennis remained present in my teen years, but county and regional training in other sports became a greater priority.
I have been coaching as a LTA Level 2 Instructor, delivering LTA Youth and adult programmes alongside my private sessions. As well as LTA led coaching development courses, I have also attended a 'Professional & Competition Coach' course at the Emilio Sanchez Academy in Barcelona, delivered by Luis Mediero and Emilio Sanchez himself. My coaching sessions will include a variety of training methods learned from different methodologies I have experienced... after all, the art of coaching is being able to explain the same point ten different ways until it is fully understood.
My philosophy of coaching aims to allow technical individuality that respects the biomechanical fundamentals of each shot. Once established, I focus on the tactical basics and nuances relevant to the players level, with a keen interest in applying the psychological side of tennis from as early as possible on the coaching pathway. Above all though, the game must remain enjoyable for both player and coach to yield the greatest results.
