Life and Family

Tsitsipas was born to Apostolos and Julia Tsitsipas. His father was a professional tennis player and coach, and his mother was a former professional volleyball player. His maternal grandfather was also a professional footballer, and his mother’s three brothers were professional footballers as well. With such a sporting background in his family, it’s no surprise that Tsitsipas developed a keen interest in sports from a young age.

Tennis Career

Tsitsipas began playing tennis at the age of three and turned professional in 2016 at the age of 18. In 2021, Tsitsipas reached the semifinals of the Australian Open for the second time in his career but was defeated by Daniil Medvedev in straight sets. He also reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, where he lost to Alexander Zverev.
