In a recent revelation, former US Open champion Emma Raducanu shared valuable advice with 16-year-old darts sensation Luke Littler, encouraging him to savour the moment and stay close to his inner circle following his surge to national fame at the World Darts Championships.
Raducanu, during her preparation for the ongoing Australian Open, expressed her thoughts on the young prodigy during her training sessions in New Zealand. Despite being on the other side of the world, she couldn’t escape the buzz surrounding Littler’s remarkable performance at Alexandra Palace. “My friend just sent me a picture of the boy who was like 16, who made the final. She was like, ‘I can’t believe this guy’s only 16 years old,‘” Raducanu remarked.
As Littler’s achievements drew comparisons with Raducanu’s early success, the tennis star offered some valuable insights: “Keep your circle close, take time to actually enjoy it all, and don’t rush into the next thing straightaway.”
Raducanu, known for her dedication and consistency, emphasised the importance of enjoying the journey and advised Littler to navigate the newfound attention wisely.
