Barking Park is well-loved by locals and visitors alike, it’s one of the oldest parks in the area, having been founded in 1898. The park is made up of 30 hectares, visitors can take a stroll beside the fishing lake, relax in stunning gardens and make use of spacious playing fields. The park has six outdoor tennis courts, with an all-weather tarmac surface. Once more, courts are completely free to use and no booking is required, simply turn up and play. Open from 8 am until dusk. There’s something for the whole family, other facilities include basketball courts, a boating lake and a 5-a-side football pitch.
