The Bishops Park Tennis Centre offers tennis to all ages and levels. Open from 8 am to 9 pm on weekdays and until 8 pm on weekends, the club has twelve outdoor courts and five mini tennis courts, all floodlit. There are several programmes to choose from, such as cardio tennis – aimed to get your heart pumping with music or joining competitive tennis to advance your game to the next level. Player facilities include changing rooms, toilets, a bar, a clubhouse and meeting rooms. The club encourages tennis; equipment hire is available too. For pay and play, the hourly rate per court is £11 (£5 for mini courts) and an additional £5 per hour for floodlight use. A family rate is also available weekly from 9 am to 6 pm at £5 per hour. Non-members can book 24 hours in advance, whereas members can book two weeks early along with access to discounted rates – and in addition, junior members play for free from 8 am to 6 pm on weekdays. More activities such as cardio and disability-friendly tennis are also available at this club.
