View SessionKensington is a district in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in the West of Central London. It’s considered one of the most densely populated local government districts in the UK. You can find the large public Royal Park of Kensington Gardens next to Hyde Park. The other main green area in Kensington is Holland Park. You can also find many residential roads with small communal garden squares for the exclusive use of the residents.
Some of the attractions in this area are Kensington Palace in Kensington Gardens, the Royal Albert Hall opposite the Albert Memorial in Hyde Park, the Royal College Music, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, Imperial College London, Kensington and Chelsea College and more. The public transport in Kensington is well connected. The 12 London Underground stations within the Kensington and Chelsea borough incorporate the Circle, District, Central, Piccadilly and Hammersmith & City lines. The stations include Earl’s Court, Gloucester Road, High Street Kensington, Holland Park, Kensington (Olympia), Knightsbridge, Ladbroke Grove, Latimer Road, Notting Hill Gate, Sloane Square, South Kensington and West Brompton.
There are plenty of places where you can improve your tennis skills in the royal borough. Whether you’re a professional tennis player, a complete beginner or just fancy playing tennis for fun, Kensington offers excellent options for their tennis players residents. The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea offer four beautiful locations for its residents to play tennis: Holland Park, Avondale Park, Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance and Kensington Memorial Park. In addition to hiring a court, you can hire equipment through the council service. We highly recommend reserving these courts in advance, as they fill up quickly, especially during summertime.
