343 Wimbledon Park Road, London, SW19 6NS
The Gardens Lawn Tennis Club was established in 1903. It originally started off as a way for the residents of Southfields Station to have their own tennis court, without having to go outside of the neighbourhood. Since then, it has grown into one of London's most popular sports clubs. Today, The Gardens boasts more than 20 courts and hosts tournaments at both amateur and professional levels.
The Gardens Lawn Tennis Club has always been known for its high quality entertainment. From dinner dances to winter and summer parties, the club is constantly busy with activities that keep members happy and entertained. Whether you're looking for a fun evening out or want to join in on some friendly competition, there's sure to be something waiting for you!
You can book court online, or simply turn up and play when the courts are free! They request that you only book one hour to enable other members to play. You can play on if the courts are free after your hour finishes.
The Gardens Lawn Tennis Club offers "just turn up" social tennis sessions that take place three times a week. On Tuesdays and Fridays (6-9pm), and Sundays (2-6pm), players of all levels are welcome to come to play with others in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. No need to book or prepare - just show up! These sessions are a great way for newbies or casual players to get some exercise and improve their skills.
If you're looking for a fun and interactive experience while playing tennis, The Gardens should definitely be on your list!
