The Oratory School is located in Woodcote, 6 miles north-west of Reading. It is one of the five schools in the UK with a real tennis court built in 1990. Real tennis is the original form of tennis, played with racquets made of wood and handmade balls in an asymmetrical court. Facilities include 6 stunning lawn tennis courts available to hire for £10 per person as well as 2 squash courts, a 9 hole golf course, an indoor sports hall, a gym and an indoor cycling studio. The tennis club has hosted several international tournaments and a world championships where in 2006 the Australian no.1 Rob Fahey beat the American Tim Chisholm.
